SUMMARY:Fifth Gate of Grief: Ancestral Grief
DESCRIPTION:Dear one\, \nHave you ever felt a sadness that seems bigger than your own life? A heaviness that echoes through time? Welcome to the Fifth Gate of Grief: Ancestral Grief. \nThis gate invites us to explore the sorrow that flows through our family lines\, passed down through generations like an invisible inheritance. It’s the pain of those who came before us – their unresolved traumas\, unfulfilled dreams\, and untold stories. \nImagine for a moment the little child within you\, carrying not just your own hurts\, but also the weight of your parents’ struggles\, your grandparents’ losses\, and the collective hardships of your ancestors. It’s a lot for those small shoulders\, isn’t it? \nBut here’s the beautiful truth: by acknowledging this ancestral grief\, we begin to heal not just ourselves\, but our entire lineage. We become the bridge between past and future\, transforming old pain into new possibilities. \nThis gate asks us to listen deeply – to the whispers of our ancestors\, to the wisdom in our bones\, to the stories written in our very DNA. It’s about honoring where we come from\, while choosing what we carry forward. \nYou might feel this grief as: \n\nA sense of displacement or not belonging\nRecurring family patterns that you can’t explain\nEmotions or fears that feel bigger than your own experiences\nA calling to explore your family history or cultural roots\n\nRemember\, this journey isn’t about blame. It’s about understanding\, compassion\, and reclaiming the gifts that have been lost along the way. \nAs you stand before this gate\, know that you’re not alone. Your ancestors stand with you\, ready to offer their strength and wisdom. And your future descendants are cheering you on\, grateful for the healing you’re initiating. \nSo\, dear one\, are you ready to step through? To tend to that inner child and the long line of inner children behind them? To weave a new story of belonging and wholeness? \nTake a deep breath. Feel the earth beneath your feet. You have everything you need for this journey. And as you heal\, you become a healing presence for your entire ancestral line. \nWelcome to the Fifth Gate. Your ancestors have been waiting for you.

SUMMARY:Fourth Gate of Grief: What we Expected and did not receive
DESCRIPTION:Dear one\, let’s journey together through a tender landscape of the heart. This is an invitation to explore the Fourth Gate of Grief\, a realm where we acknowledge the unmet longings of our lives. \nThink back to your childhood. Remember the hopes and dreams you held\, the love and nurturing you craved. Now\, gently notice the spaces where life fell short of those expectations. This gate opens to the grief of what should have been but wasn’t – the loving parent\, the safe home\, the supportive community\, or the opportunities that never came. \nThis isn’t about blame. It’s about honoring the child within who still yearns for what was missing. That child is still a part of you\, carrying those unfulfilled needs. By acknowledging this grief\, we begin to tend to those long-neglected parts of ourselves. \nYou might feel a heaviness in your chest or a lump in your throat as you read this. That’s okay. These feelings are signposts\, guiding us to the places that need our loving attention. \nAs we step through this gate\, we learn to cradle our younger selves with compassion. We whisper to that inner child\, “I see you. I hear you. Your longings were valid.” This act of self-love begins to fill the empty spaces left by unmet needs. \nRemember\, this journey isn’t about dwelling in the past. It’s about freeing ourselves from old pain so we can live more fully in the present. By grieving what we didn’t receive\, we open ourselves to receiving the goodness life offers now. \nYou’re not alone in this. Countless others walk this path\, each with their own unmet expectations. In recognizing this shared human experience\, we find connection and healing. \nSo\, dear one\, are you ready to open this gate? To hold space for the grief of what should have been? Your inner child is waiting\, longing to be heard and held. This is your invitation to listen\, to grieve\, and to begin healing those ancient wounds. \nTake a deep breath. Feel your feet on the ground. You are safe\, you are held\, and you are ready to explore this tender territory of the heart.

SUMMARY:Third Gate of Grief: The Sorrows of the world
DESCRIPTION:Dear one\, \n\n\nThere’s a world of sorrow out there\, isn’t there? The melting glaciers\, the dying forests\, the polluted oceans. Sometimes it feels like too much to bear. But what if I told you that your heartbreaking for the world is not just normal – it’s necessary? \nWelcome to the Third Gate of Grief: The Sorrows of the World. \nThis gate invites us to feel the pain of our planet\, our communities\, and all living beings. It’s about recognizing that we’re not separate from the world around us. Your grief for the earth is a testament to your love\, your connection\, your belonging. \nRemember when you were little\, and you cried over a hurt animal or a fallen tree? That innocent\, open-hearted child is still within you. This gate asks us to reconnect with that part of ourselves – the part that feels deeply and loves without hesitation. \nIt’s okay if this feels overwhelming. Take a deep breath. You’re safe here. \nFeeling the sorrows of the world doesn’t mean you have to fix everything. It’s about being present\, bearing witness. It’s about honoring the pain and letting it move through you. Like rain falling on parched earth\, this grief can nourish your soul and spark compassion. \nAs you step into this gate\, you might feel: \n\nA deep ache for the beauty being lost\nAnger at the destruction you see\nHelplessness in the face of big problems\nA renewed sense of connection to all life\n\nAll of these feelings are welcome. They’re signs of your humanity\, your empathy\, your aliveness. \nBy embracing this grief\, you’re not just healing yourself – you’re participating in the healing of the world. Your tears are a form of activism. Your open heart is a revolutionary act in a world that often turns away. \nSo\, dear one\, I invite you to step gently into this gate. Feel the sorrow\, yes\, but also the love that underlies it. Let it remind you of your place in the great web of life. Let it inspire you to live with more reverence\, more care\, more joy in the precious moments we have. \nYou’re not alone in this. We’re all in it together\, held in the great heart of the world. \nAre you ready to open your heart to the sorrows – and the beauty – of our world?

SUMMARY:Reconnect to Your Soul Purpose
DESCRIPTION:Reconnect To Your Soul Purpose\nResidential Retreat: November 02 to 04th at Wasing Estate  \n  \n \n  \n“Begin to weave and the Divine will provide the thread” Old Proverb.  \nWe enter the world as seekers\, and what we need to find the most is the uniqueness of our own souls. Each life is a surprising pilgrimage intended to arrive at the centre of the pilgrim’s soul. \nAlthough it has mostly been forgotten in the modern world\, each soul bears an inborn purpose and a natural way of being from the beginning. Each person born is intended to bring something meaningful to the world. When everything seems to be falling apart\, we must turn all the way inside in order to find the threads of meaning and purpose that are woven into our very being. When we follow our soul’s inner thread\, it becomes clearer that the changes so urgently needed in the outside world have to begin with meaningful changes in the souls of those born into these troubled times. \nAre you living your true life? Have you learned about the gift you are here to live through? Do you know the resonance of your own truth? \nThe retreat is a three-day journey of remembrance. It is a space for each participant to reconnect to their inner truth and to reclaim the gift they arrived at this world with \nWhy Join Us? \n\nBeing in right relationship with life means inhabiting our gift and living life in alignment with the sacred contract we made before we were born.\nWhen we are cut off from our own soul purpose\, it’s hard to speak our truth or to be alive in our own life.\nCome if you are looking to rewrite your life narrative to one that is more attuned to the beat of your heart.\nYour thirst to live a more connected life and to welcome more joy in your life can no longer be denied.\n\nWhat to Expect \n\nThrough stories\, we will come together\, to explore the bigger story of our existence and trace the thread of our own gift in our current life.\n Through movements\, colour\, sound and shamanic rituals\, we will touch the places of rupture and departure from our medicine\, and we will give voice to what is needed to mend it\n Through Constellation\, we will bring movement to the intergenerational wisdom available through the wounding. We will bear witness to our ancestor’s struggles and reclaim the gift of life with their blessing.\nWe will seek the guidance and support of colour medicine to help us open up to the truth of who we are so we can become.\nWe will practice the ways to breathe and restore our connection to the precious parts of ourselves.\nWe will sing\, we will dance\, we will retreat\, we will cry. We will bear witness to each other journey.\n\nOur Journey Together \nWith love and compassion\, we step into a sacred and brave space where time stands still and our journey of remembrance begins. \nExpect stories\, laughter\, connections\, dance\, restorative movements\, joyful breath and plenty of good food as you colour in between and outside the lines throughout our time together. \n“There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you.” – Maya Angelou\, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings. \n  \nAccommodation\, Venue & Food: \nWe are staying at the Wasing Estate\, one of the most beautiful natural places in Berkshire. It has woodlands\, an open swimming pond\, and plenty of natural delights. \nWe will stay at the Farm House\, which has 06 bedrooms\, accommodating 12 people\, a living room\, a sitting area\, and a kitchen. Two participants will share each room. \n \n \nYour facilitators\n \nAmel Murphy\, The Weaver\n \nLana Power\, The Breath of Consciousness\n \nKate Griffiths\, Colour alchemist\n \nJane Wolkenstein\, Yogi\nInvestment\nOne of our core values is inclusion.  A “one price for all” structure does not enable full participation. Those who don’t have a lot of money either can’t join\, or the price is set so low that the programme is not financially viable. \nWe offer a flexible pricing model.  Look at the range given below\, find a contribution that works for you\, in line both with what you can afford whilst recognising what we are bringing you. The fees are inclusive of accommodation (2 people sharing) and meals for the duration of the retreat: \n\nAccess Fee: £1100\nSustainability Fee: £ 1300\nGenerosity Fee: £1450\n\n\n\n\n\nBook Your Space

SUMMARY:Second Gate of Grief: The Places that Have not known Love
DESCRIPTION:Dear one\, \nToday\, we’re opening the door to a tender place within you – the second Gate of Grief that Francis Weller calls “The Places That Have Not Known Love.” Take a deep breath. You’re safe here. \nImagine a child – perhaps it’s you – standing in a room. Parts of this child glow brightly\, cherished and celebrated. But there are shadows too\, corners where the light doesn’t reach. These are the parts of you that learned to hide\, the pieces deemed unacceptable or unlovable. \nWe all have these places. They’re born from moments when we needed love but received criticism\, when we reached out but were pushed away\, when we shined brightly but were told to dim our light. These experiences taught us to tuck away parts of ourselves\, believing they were too much\, too little\, or simply wrong. \nThese unloved places aren’t flaws – they’re wounded pieces of your beautiful\, complex self. They’ve been waiting patiently\, hoping that one day\, someone would see them\, accept them\, love them. That someone is you. \nAs you stand at this gate\, you might feel a mix of fear and longing. It’s okay. Those feelings are welcome here. This journey is about bringing gentle awareness to these neglected parts of yourself. It’s about saying\, “I see you. You matter. You belong.” \nGrieving for these unloved places isn’t about dwelling in sadness. It’s a profound act of self-love. It’s reclaiming the wholeness that has always been your birthright. As you tend to these wounds with compassion\, you create space for new life\, new joy\, new possibilities. \nRemember\, you don’t have to do this alone. Reach out to trusted friends\, a therapist\, or a support group. Sometimes\, the simple act of sharing these hidden parts can begin the healing. \nSo\, dear one\, are you ready to meet yourself with open arms? To hold space for all that you are? The journey through this gate may not always be easy\, but on the other side lies a more integrated\, authentic you – fully seen\, fully embraced\, fully alive. \nTake my hand. Let’s step through this gate together\, with courage\, compassion\, and love. \nYou are worthy of love\, all of you. Always have been\, always will be.

SUMMARY:First Gate of Grief: Everything you love\, you will loose
DESCRIPTION:Dear Friend\, \nHave you ever loved deeply and lost? Whether it’s a person\, a pet\, a place\, or a dream\, loss is an inevitable part of life. Yet in our society\, we often struggle to honor our grief fully. \nWe invite you to join us for a special gathering to explore the First Gate of Grief: “Everything you love\, you will lose.” This wisdom\, shared by Francis Weller\, reminds us that loss is not a failure\, but a natural part of loving deeply. \nIn this circle\, we create a safe\, loving space to: \n\nHonor your unique losses\, big and small\nShare stories of love and remembrance\nExpress grief in ways that feel right for you\nConnect with others who understand\nDiscover the healing power of communal grieving\n\nThis is not about “getting over” your loss\, but about giving your grief the attention and care it deserves. Through gentle rituals\, sharing\, and silent reflection\, we’ll witness each other’s journeys with compassion and understanding. \nYou don’t need any special skills or knowledge – just an open heart and a willingness to be present with your grief. Whether your loss is fresh or from long ago\, all are welcome. \nIn this circle\, there’s no right or wrong way to grieve. Tears\, laughter\, anger\, numbness – all expressions are honored. We believe that by tending to our grief together\, we can find not just healing\, but also a deeper appreciation for the preciousness of life and love. \nJoin us in this sacred space of remembrance and renewal. Let’s walk this path of grief and love together\, supporting each other every step of the way.

SUMMARY:Grief Medicine Circle: Tending to Our Broken Heart
DESCRIPTION:“The heart that breaks open can contain the whole universe.” – Joanna Macy \nThe last few years have been intense. Growing our capacity to grieve well is essential for both our personal and communal well-being; it is essential to keeping our hearts open and permeable to beauty and resilient to despair. \nGrief is an integral part of life that requires our attention if we want to be fully available to life. In our culture\, however\, we have forgotten how to share our grief with one another. In addition to our personal losses\, given the emergent climate crisis and its impacts – the extinction of species\, the COVID pandemic\, and the unrest and turmoil within human societies – the burden of grief that we are carrying as individuals can begin to feel unbearable. There are very few spaces where we are invited to experience and express this complex grief in the community. \nRobin Wall Kimmerer writes\, “If grief can be a doorway to love\, then let us all weep for the world we are breaking apart so we can love it back to wholeness again.” \nIn the Five (05) Bi-Monthly circles\, we will experience Francis Weller’s “Five Gates of Grief” to connect participants to their distinct and multifaceted experiences of grief and reconnect them to the life force that wants to be birthed through it. \n“The sheer weight of these personal and collective sorrows is enough to crush our hearts\, forcing us to turn away and find solace in anaesthesia and distraction. When we come together\, however\, and share these stories of sorrow in grief rituals\, something begins to change. When our sorrows are witnessed and held within a community of compassion\, grief can surprisingly turn to joy\, to a love emboldened for all that surrounds us. Love and loss have been eternally entwined. To acknowledge our grief is to free our love to fall outwards into the waiting world. Something is stirring in the depths of the times. Our collective denial appears to be cracking. We can no longer deny the fact that the world is radically changing. We sense in our bones the breakdowns occurring and\, along with it\, our hearts feel weighted with grief. It may be our shared sorrows\, stirred by our love of this singular\, irreplaceable planet\, that will ultimately activate our communal commitment to respond to the rampant denigration of the world”. Francis Weller \nWe invite you to join this restorative and sacred space where grief is welcomed and can move through\, making beauty and birthing profound compassion as it does.

SUMMARY:Online-Healing through Movement
DESCRIPTION:In various shamanic societies\, seekers troubled by disheartenment or depression were posed four essential questions: “When did you stop dancing? When did you stop singing? When did you stop being enchanted by stories? When did you stop being comforted by the sweet territory of silence?” \nRecognizing the profound impact of dancing and singing on vitality\, many ancient cultures believed these practices to inspire the soul\, fostering a deeper connection with divine forces. \nWe extend a warm invitation to participate in our weekly themed movement-based sessions\, designed to reclaim vitality and navigate personal histories. \nTogether\, we will explore the power of movement\, allowing words and experiences to guide us and share their wisdom. \nLearn the art of emptying and cleansing our containers – the body and mind – to move through life with lightness and freedom. \nJoin us on this journey of self-discovery and revitalization. \n
